ABOUT

The Why Behind the Workâ„¢
I want to design for people and communities in spaces that value and prioritize social impact. I am interested in tackling the root causes of social problems by applying the theory and practice of design justice. I'm deeply engaging with its first principle: "We use design to sustain, heal, and empower our communities, as well as to seek liberation from exploitative and oppressive systems."
The Journey
I earned BA in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University and an MS in Social Work from Columbia University.
I then became a freelance multidisciplinary artist with an eye towards socially engaged practice. I developed transferable skills such as project management, relationship building, and adaptability.
Since graduating from the University of Utah’s UX/UI Bootcamp, I have practiced industry skills on real-life projects through my involvement with Tech Fleet, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people break into the tech field.
